Donald E. Penman is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Geosciences at Utah State University. His research focuses on the interactions between climate, oceans, and biogeochemical cycles through geochemical analysis of sedimentary records and numerical modeling. Penman uses advanced techniques like isotopic and trace metal analysis of sediments/microfossils to study Earth's past climates, particularly periods analogous to current climate change.
