Dr Don Green serves as Head of Student Experience and Academic Outcomes for the School of Human Sciences at London Metropolitan University, and as academic liaison tutor for collaborations with Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (SUTCM). He holds a BSc in Chemistry, MSc in Molecular Biology and General Biochemistry, and PhD in Synthetic Organophosphorus Chemistry. He is a Chartered Chemist (CChem) and Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC).
Teaching roles include undergraduate Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Science programmes, the MSc Pharmaceutical Science and Drug Delivery Systems, and the Herbal Medicinal Science BSc (Shanghai collaboration). His research focuses on synthesizing antithrombotic peptidomimetics for cardiovascular disease and antimalarial phosphonolane agents. He has published in J. Mol. Biol and Phosphorus, Sulfur and Silicon.
Awards include FRSC and CChem designations. Professional activities include reviewing for International Journal of Molecular Sciences, Journal of Personalised Medicine, and others. His work bridges synthetic chemistry innovations with clinical applications in drug discovery.
