Dominique Labelle is an Associate Professor and Area Coordinator (Voice) at the Schulich School of Music, McGill University. She specializes in vocal performance, bridging Baroque to contemporary repertoire. Her career includes collaborations with renowned conductors/composers like Iván Fischer, Nicholas McGegan, and Yehudi Wyner, alongside orchestras such as the Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra and Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra.
Trained at McGill and Boston Universities, Labelle is a sought-after educator, having taught masterclasses at institutions including Harvard, San Francisco Conservatory, and Smith College. Her pedagogical excellence was recognized with the 2018 Schulich School of Music Outstanding Teacher Award and the 2017-2018 Full-Time Teaching Award.
Her discography spans labels like Virgin Classics and Deutsche Harmonia Mundi, highlighted by the 2002 Handel Prize-winning recording of Handel’s Arminio. Recent work includes the recital Moments of Love with Yehudi Wyner.
