معرفی
Estelle Allan is a Research Fellow in the Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences at McGill University, working under Prof. Peter Douglas. She is affiliated with the Faculty of Science and specializes in paleoclimatology and marine geosciences. Her research focuses on reconstructing Holocene climate dynamics using dinocysts as proxies, particularly in Arctic and North Atlantic regions.
Education: PhD in Earth and Atmospheric Sciences from Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM), Canada (201?); Master’s in Marine Geosciences from Institut Universitaire Européen de la Mer (IUEM), France (201?).
Research interests include paleoenvironmental reconstructions, climate change impacts on marine systems, and the application of microfossil data to understand past environmental changes. She has contributed to databases of Holocene temperature records and dinocyst distributions in surface sediments.
Her publications analyze sea surface conditions off SW Greenland, Greenland ice sheet dynamics, and Arctic Ocean dinocysts. Collaborations include projects led by Prof. J.P. Briner and Prof. Annie de Vernal.
