Professor Bonet Fernandez's research centers on circular economy integration in corporate and territorial contexts, with special emphasis on sustainable supply chains and collaborative business models. Her work bridges theoretical frameworks like Bourdieu's practice theory with practical applications in maritime safety governance, urban logistics, and digital transformation of supply networks. She has developed significant expertise in applying circular economy principles to global production networks and resource management systems.
Her recent publications reveal a consistent focus on the intersection of digital technologies, sustainability imperatives, and organizational transformation across multiple sectors. The research demonstrates methodological diversity, employing both qualitative case studies of collaborative communities and quantitative analyses of global maritime safety governance structures. A notable trend is her application of sociological theories to business contexts, particularly Bourdieu's concepts of habitus and field in understanding power dynamics within international regulatory frameworks.
As an academic leader, she has supervised six doctoral theses across France, Vietnam, Morocco, Brazil and through CIFRE partnerships with CEA and SNCF Transilien. Her research has been supported through the Erasmus-funded RESICITIES project and other institutional frameworks enabling international collaboration.
Professor Bonet Fernandez maintains active membership in the National Institute of the Circular Economy and the Geographical Society, positioning her at the nexus of academic research and practical sustainability implementation. Her work with CRET-LOG at Aix-Marseille University provides a multidisciplinary research environment for advancing circular economy principles in French and international contexts.
