Dominique Baker is an Associate Professor at the University of Delaware, affiliated with both the College of Education and Human Development’s School of Education and the Joseph R. Biden, Jr. School of Public Policy and Administration. She holds the title of UD Cochran Scholar. Her research examines how education policies impact minoritized students’ access and success in higher education, focusing on financial aid, admissions policies, and campus inclusion.
Her scholarly work has been published in leading journals such as the American Educational Research Journal and Educational Evaluation and Policy Analysis. Her expertise has been featured in major media outlets like The New York Times and National Public Radio, and she has testified before the U.S. Senate on issues of race, racism, and student loans.
