Dominick Spracklen

Dominick Spracklen serves as Professor of Biosphere-Atmosphere Interactions at the School of Earth and Environment within the Faculty of Environment at the University of Leeds.

His research centers on ecosystem-climate interactions with expertise in deforestation, conservation, and climate science. Fieldwork spans Southeast Asia:

• Vietnam: Partnered with local communities to study sustainable forest use and implement degraded forest restoration projects
• Indonesia: Analyzed land-use change impacts on peatland fires and conducted cost-benefit assessments of national restoration initiatives
