Do Gyun Kim serves as Assistant Professor of Visual Communication Design at Purdue University's Rueff School of Design, Art, and Performance, specializing in the Department of Visual Communications Design with a focus on design's societal impact.
Education:

- M.F.A. in Graphic Design, Oklahoma State University
His research explores typography, motion graphics, and experimental texture through the lens of human rights and historical events. Kim champions design as a catalyst for social change, developing methodologies where texture interfaces with political narratives and historical reflection to drive societal transformation.
Kim has earned over 20 awards in national and international design competitions across the U.S. and Korea, with featured publications in American, German, and Korean design media.
Prior academic roles include teaching undergraduate graphic design courses at universities in Mississippi and Missouri, plus digital design instruction as a graduate instructor at Oklahoma State University.
