معرفی
Dr. Dmitry Revin is a Researcher affiliated with the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the University of Sheffield. He holds a position as a Research Associate in Biophotonics within the Semiconductor Materials and Devices Research Group. His work focuses on quantum cascade lasers (QCLs), mid-infrared spectroscopy, and optical coherence tomography (OCT), with applications in biomedical imaging and materials science.
Revin's research spans the development of quantum cascade lasers for wavelengths ranging from 3–11 µm, emphasizing high-temperature operation, external cavity designs, and novel materials like InP-based structures. His contributions include advancements in mid-infrared OCT platforms for skin barrier analysis and preterm birth prediction. He also explores semiconductor materials characterization via techniques like Kelvin probe force microscopy and geometric phase analysis.
Key technical areas include active mode locking of QCLs, sensitivity enhancements in mid-infrared spectroscopy over FTIR, and the integration of metamaterials with QCLs. His work bridges fundamental semiconductor physics with applied technologies in medical diagnostics and optoelectronics.
