Dmitri Byzalov is an Associate Professor and Merves Research Fellow in the Department of Accounting at Temple University's Fox School of Business and Management. He holds a Ph.D. from Harvard University and specializes in financial and managerial accounting research. His research focuses on meet-or-just-beat behavior, accrual modeling, cost behavior, and conditional conservatism, with publications in top journals like Journal of Accounting and Economics and Review of Accounting Studies.
He teaches undergraduate Managerial Accounting and PhD-level courses. His 2015 AAA award recognized work on demand uncertainty and cost behavior. Current research explores methodological issues in accounting studies, including regression-based x-scores and AI applications in education.
