Byunghoon Jin is an Associate Professor of Accounting at Marist University's School of Management. He earned his PhD from Temple University (2015) and holds a CPA certification. Prior to academia, he worked at PwC as an auditor and consultant.
- Education: PhD in Accounting (Temple University, 2015), MPA (University of Texas at Austin, 2007), BS in Business (Indiana University, 2005)
Research interests include accruals behavior, earnings management, cost behavior, executive compensation, corporate governance, and business ethics. His work explores how managerial incentives and industry structures influence financial reporting and operational decisions.
Recent publications examine asymmetric cost behavior, Confucianism's impact on compensation structures, and inventory pooling techniques. His articles are published in journals like the Journal of Corporate Accounting & Finance and Review of Quantitative Finance and Accounting.
