Professor Divya Jindal-Snape holds the Personal Chair of Education, Inclusion, and Life Transitions at the University of Dundee, within the School of Humanities, Social Sciences, and Law. She leads the Transformative Change: Educational and Life Transitions (TCELT) Research Centre and the International Network of Transitions Researchers (TCELT-INTR). Her expertise spans educational transitions, inclusion, creativity, and health education, with a focus on using drama, comics, and visual methods to enhance wellbeing during transitions.
She earned her PhD from the University of Tsukuba, Japan, and has held visiting roles at institutions like Waseda University (Japan) and Cardiff Metropolitan University. She is Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Educational and Life Transitions and has collaborated internationally on projects in over 20 countries. Her research emphasizes the dynamic nature of transitions, including the ELT and MMT theories, and has led to educational resources and policy recommendations.
Jindal-Snape has received awards for her work, including recognition for her educational comics on chronic illnesses and public engagement initiatives. She has advised organizations like the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission and contributed to UK REF 2021. Her funded projects span topics like rural medical practice transitions, dental graduate journeys, and intergenerational storytelling.
