Diu Nguyen

Dr. Diu Nguyen is a Lecturer and CRUK Career Development Fellow leading the DiuNguyen Lab at the Centre for Haemato-Oncology, Barts Cancer Institute, Queen Mary University of London. She serves as Group Leader within the Barts RNA Cancer Hub, focusing on translational research in leukaemia stem cell biology.

Her research program investigates post-transcriptional regulation by RNA binding proteins (RBPs) in normal hematopoiesis and leukemogenesis. Key priorities include:

• Identifying novel RBPs critical for blood development and leukaemia initiation
• Deciphering molecular mechanisms of RBP dysfunction in malignant transformation
• Developing targeted therapies through understanding translational control

Recent publications reveal consistent emphasis on RBP-mediated proteostasis, chromatin regulation, and RNA modifications in myeloid malignancies, utilizing advanced techniques like HyperTRIBE and phase separation analysis across 2020-2023 studies.
