Dr. Diti Bhattacharya is a Research Fellow at the Griffith Centre for Social and Cultural Research, Griffith University. She holds a PhD in Human Geography from Griffith University and specializes in posthuman feminist theories, non-representational theory, and affect studies. Her current ARC-funded project explores sport event legacy planning through co-creation approaches. Her research focuses on migration, mobilities, tourism geographies, and critical heritage studies, with a particular interest in marginalized communities' belonging through sport and fitness cultures.

Research Interests
Dr. Bhattacharya's work examines spatial movements, material culture (e.g., Kolkata's second-hand book markets), and the intersections of gender, migration, and urban spaces. She employs embodied research methods to explore how physical activities and cultural practices foster community belonging for marginalized groups.

Teaching & Supervision
