Prof. Dirk Jan Wolffram is a Professor of Modern History at the University of Groningen's Faculty of Arts. His research focuses on political history, governance, local administration, and social-religious relations. He holds leadership roles, including Chairman of the Board of HOVO Noord Nederland and Member of the Scientific Advice Council DNPP. Notable awards include Teacher of the Year (2016/2017) and teaching qualifications (BKO/SKO). His work spans monographs, edited volumes, and peer-reviewed articles, with a recent emphasis on provincial governance and historical policy analysis.
