Dina Namer

Dina Namer is a Lecturer at the Dan School of Drama and Music, part of the Faculty of Arts and Science at Queen's University. Her expertise spans piano performance, chamber music, and historical performance practices. She holds a B.Mus. and M.Mus. in Piano Performance from the Manhattan School of Music.

Her research and performance interests include Baroque harpsichord, contemporary Canadian works, and collaborative chamber music. She has performed with ensembles such as the Aulos Trio, Ottawa Baroque Ensemble, and Sh’ma Ensemble, releasing notable CDs like 'Playing Tribute' and 'Magdalene Wood.'

Ms. Namer has collaborated with prominent artists through the National Arts Centre Orchestra's 'Music for a Sunday Afternoon' series and performs at festivals including the Ottawa International Chamber Music Festival. She is frequently featured on Minnesota Public Radio, CBC, and Radio Canada.

Teaching roles include positions at Ottawa, Carleton, and Queen’s Universities. Her career bridges academic instruction and professional performance in both the US and Canada.
