Dimitris Apostolou is an Associate Professor at the Department of Informatics, University of Piraeus, and a member of the Decision Support Systems Laboratory. His research focuses on intelligent decision systems, team collaboration technologies, and knowledge management frameworks.
He has participated in numerous IT research projects funded by the European Commission and national bodies, serving as project manager in three initiatives. His academic work bridges theoretical research with practical applications in public and private sector IT systems.
As an educator, Apostolou teaches courses related to informatics and computational systems, maintaining active office hours during both winter (Friday 10:00–14:00) and spring semesters (Tuesday/Wednesday 10:00–12:00).
