Dilon Bryan is a Part-Time Lecturer of Music specializing in Horn and Brass Techniques at the School of Visual and Performing Arts, part of the College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences at the University of West Georgia. He concurrently serves as an Adjunct Professor of Horn at the University of North Georgia. Known for his approachable teaching style, Bryan has performed with major orchestras including the Colorado Symphony, North Carolina Symphony, and Atlanta Symphony. He holds a Master of Music (M.M.) in Performance from the University of Georgia (2019) and a Bachelor of Music (B.M.) in Performance from Columbus State University (2017).
Bryan’s education includes studies at the Mozarteum in Salzburg, Austria, and he has received notable accolades such as chamber music fellowships at the Aspen Music Festival and the opportunity to perform in the Wiener Saal, Salzburg, after winning the Grand Prize Virtuoso Competition. His teaching focuses on applied horn instruction and brass techniques, as evidenced by his course load in recent semesters.
Outside academia, Bryan enjoys culinary pursuits like preparing Jamaican jerk chicken, savoring peppermint tea, and spending time with his family and his outgoing cat, T'Challa.
