Associate Professor Dilan Robert is the Head of the Department of Civil & Infrastructure Engineering at RMIT University. He specializes in geotechnical engineering, with a focus on pipelines, road pavements, soil stabilization, and corrosion assessment of buried metals. His research integrates practical applications with sustainability, including waste recycling and resilient infrastructure design. Dilan holds a BSc from the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka, and a PhD from the University of Cambridge, UK.

- Industry Experience: 4 years in infrastructure projects, including roles as a Geotechnical Engineer at KW Ltd, Civil Engineer at State Engineering Corporation (Sri Lanka), and Research Engineer at Lanka Hydraulic Institute.
Research Interests: Expansive soils, offshore geotechnics, constitutive modeling, and sustainable materials. He leads projects worth over $10 million, addressing infrastructure challenges through innovative solutions like enzymatic soil stabilization and recycled waste utilization.
