Diego Sánchez-Ancochea serves as Professor of the Political Economy of Development at the University of Oxford, holding a joint appointment in the Department of International Development (Social Sciences Division) and St Antony's College. He concurrently acts as Associate Head for People in the Social Science Division, University Council member, and Fellow of St Antony's College.
His research centers on political economy of development in the global South, with regional expertise in Latin America (Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Uruguay, Central America). Primary interests include:
