Diego E. Machuca is an Associate Researcher in Philosophy at the National Scientific and Technical Research Council (CONICET) in Argentina. He serves as co-editor of the International Journal for the Study of Skepticism and the Brill Studies in Skepticism series. His work focuses on skepticism across historical periods, including ancient, modern, and contemporary epistemological debates. Machuca co-edited the seminal anthology Skepticism: From Antiquity to the Present (2018), which provides a comprehensive overview of skeptical thought from classical antiquity to modern philosophy. His research bridges historical analysis with contemporary epistemology, addressing topics such as Pyrrhonism, academic skepticism, and the interplay between skepticism and religious or moral philosophy.
