Her research program focuses on understanding the psychological and behavioral contributors to wellbeing, with particular emphasis on physical activity, behavior change, and psychological mechanisms. As director of the Behavioural Health Sciences Research Lab (BHSRL) and Sport4All initiative, she leads innovative research projects examining mental health in sport contexts and evidence-based reporting standards.
Dr. Mack's research interests span wellbeing, health-enhancing physical activity, behavior change, and reporting standards in research. Her work investigates psychological mechanisms linked to wellbeing, including motivation, self-compassion, and pride, using diverse study designs from meta-analyses to reliability generalization studies. Recent work has examined the CONSORT-PRO reporting standards to improve evidence quality. Her research bridges theoretical understanding with practical applications in sport, mental health, and physical activity promotion across diverse populations.
Analysis of Dr. Mack's recent publications reveals a strong focus on wellbeing measurement, mental health in sport contexts, and methodological rigor in research. Her work consistently examines psychological processes underlying physical activity and wellbeing, with increasing attention to sport-specific mental health issues and evidence reporting standards. The research spans diverse populations including female athletes, youth, and culturally specific groups like South Asian women.
