Dr. Diana M. Hollinger is an Associate Professor and Coordinator of Music Education at San Jose State University's School of Music and Dance. She holds a DMA from Arizona State University and has extensive experience in K-12 music education, including 13 years of public school teaching. Her roles include teaching music education and conducting courses, supervising student teachers, and directing the SJSU Symphonic Band. Dr. Hollinger's research focuses on music education as a tool for social reform, particularly through her work on the Venezuelan El Sistema model and the San Jose Music Project scholarship initiative. She actively contributes to professional organizations such as the California Music Educators Association and the California Band Directors Association.
