Diana De La Rosa-Pohl

Dr. Diana De La Rosa-Pohl is an Instructional Associate Professor and Director of the Endeavour S-STEM Program at the University of Houston's Cullen College of Engineering. She holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin (1992), an MS in Physics from the University of Texas at Arlington (1997), an MEng in Electrical Engineering from the University of Houston (2003), and an EdD in Curriculum and Instruction from the same university (2011). Her professional experience spans over three decades, including roles as an Honors Engineering Program lecturer (2003–2013) and faculty member in the ECE department since 2013.

Her research focuses on Motivation & Engagement, STEM Retention, and Project-Based Learning, with a particular interest in enhancing student success in diverse, urban university settings. She has led initiatives to adapt honors curricula for broader engineering populations and pioneered collaborative learning models between senior design students and first-year engineers.

Key contributions include the Endeavour S-STEM Program, a multi-college initiative supporting underserved STEM students through scholarships and academic support.
