Devi Ramakrishnan

Devi Ramakrishnan serves as Adjunct Faculty in the Medical Sciences (M.S.) program within Bethel University's Graduate School, a position he began in 2023.

His academic credentials include:

• M.S. in Biochemistry from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine (2008)
• Ph.D. in Molecular Medicine from Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine (2015)

As a physician-scientist formerly practicing at a surgical gastroenterology hospital, Dr. Ramakrishnan investigates molecular pathways in sleep-apnea, oxygen-sensing, hypertension, angiogenesis, atherosclerosis, thrombosis, and microparticles—with direct implications for cardiovascular and cancer disorders. His dual clinical and basic science approach enables translational research bridging laboratory findings to patient care.

Dr. Ramakrishnan has published original research across clinical and basic medical sciences and maintains an international teaching record. At Bethel University, he focuses on training graduate students in clinical and basic medical sciences methodology, emphasizing hands-on research mentorship.
