معرفی
Devendra Amre is a tenured Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at CHU Sainte-Justine, affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine of Université de Montréal. His research focuses on the genetic and epigenetic epidemiology of chronic pediatric diseases, particularly inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn's disease) and childhood leukemia.
- Education: MBBS (Shivaji University, India), MSc in Epidemiology (McGill University), PhD in Epidemiology (McGill University)
- Key Research Areas: Deciphering gene-environment interactions, epigenetic biomarkers, and immunopathogenesis in Crohn's disease; investigating nutritional and genetic factors affecting childhood leukemia survivors
Dr. Amre's publications span genome-wide association studies, diet-gene interactions, and functional immunology in IBD. He has contributed to understanding corticosteroid responses, microbial translocation mechanisms, and novel biomarkers for disease progression. His work integrates clinical and molecular approaches to pediatric gastroenterology and oncology.
