Desh Marco Girod is an Associate Professor in the Department of Government at Georgetown University's College of Arts and Sciences. He serves as Program Coordinator and holds affiliations with the Conflict Resolution Program and the Center for Social Justice. His research focuses on global racial politics and U.S. foreign policy, blending interpretive methods with archival and ethnographic approaches.

Research Interests: Dr. Girod examines how domestic racial policies shape global power dynamics, particularly through his book project Jim Crow Foreign Policy. He explores methodological innovations in political science and the historical roots of U.S. foreign policy formulation.
