Daniel M Brumberg is Associate Professor in the Department of Government at Georgetown University and Co-Director of the MA in Democracy & Governance Studies. He serves as Senior Non-Resident Fellow at the Arab Center and co-founded Georgetown's 'In Your Shoes' interdisciplinary initiative. His academic appointments include Visiting Professorships at Sciences Po in Paris and Tunisian universities, with previous positions at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace and United States Institute of Peace.
Brumberg's research examines political change in the Middle East and Muslim world, US democracy promotion, political polarization, and populism. His work integrates comparative analysis of democratization processes with practical applications in conflict resolution.
