Derrick Matthews

Derrick Matthews, PhD, is an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Behavior at the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health. His research focuses on social determinants of health disparities among Black men who have sex with men (MSM) and health inequities in LGBT populations. He emphasizes community engagement across all research stages and explores intersectional discrimination's impact on health in quantitative studies.
