Professor Alain DEREUX (born 1963) is affiliated with the University of Burgundy as a faculty member in the Nanosciences department. Since 2012, he has served as director of the Carnot Interdisciplinary Laboratory of Burgundy (ICB UMR 6303 CNRS/uB).
His research focuses on
- Nanophotonics
- Plasmonics
- Controlling optical phenomena at sub-wavelength scales
- Applications in optoelectronics and biomedicine
Notable accolades include the CNRS Silver Medal (2015), one of the most prestigious awards from the French National Center for Scientific Research.
