Luc LAVISSE, born in 1963, is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Burgundy since 2006 and member of the Carnot Interdisciplinary Laboratory of Burgundy (ICB UMR 6303 CNRS/uB). He holds a doctorate in process engineering from École Centrale de Lyon (2002) and obtained his HDR (habilitation) in 2011. His research focuses on laser-based surface treatments for metallic materials, including marking/coloring, tribological applications (wear resistance/friction coefficient optimization), laser ablation for plasma dynamics/LIBS analysis, and laser shock processing for surface improvement. He also serves as coordinator for continuing education programs at CNAM Chalon sur Saône.
