Derek J. Taylor

Derek J. Taylor is a Professor in the Department of Biochemistry and Department of Pharmacology at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. He serves as Vice Chair for Innovation, Translation, and Entrepreneurship in Pharmacology and holds leadership roles at the Case Comprehensive Cancer Center, including Associate Director for Shared Resources and Member of the Developmental Therapeutics Program.

• Research focuses on telomere architecture, telomerase regulation, and nucleoprotein complex structural determination
• Uses cryo-electron microscopy to study DNA packaging, ribosome function, and anthrax toxin assembly
