Professor Dennis Quinn holds the John J. Powers, Jr., Professorship in International Business at Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business and is also a Professor of Government. His research focuses on international business, political economy, and public policy, particularly in emerging markets and democratic institutions. He previously served as Vice Dean at the McDonough School of Business.
Education: Columbia University (Ph.D., M.A., B.A.) and the London School of Economics (M.Sc.).
Research Interests: Democratization and economic liberalization in emerging markets; international financial liberalization; trade impacts on U.S. elections; exchange rate passthrough determinants. Recent work explores structural reforms’ electoral effects and exchange rates’ influence on voting behavior.
