Denis J.-J. Robichaud is the John and Patrice Kelly Associate Professor of Liberal Studies at the University of Notre Dame, with concurrent appointments in the Department of Philosophy, Medieval Institute, and Department of Romance Languages and Literatures. He is affiliated with institutions including the Center for Italian Studies, the History of Philosophy Forum, and the School of Religious Studies at McGill University.

His research focuses on the long history of Platonism (270–1499), spanning late antiquity, medieval, and Renaissance philosophy, with emphasis on intersections with religious traditions, philology, and manuscript studies. He specializes in Latin and Greek paleography, humanist commentary, and textual practices.
Robichaud has received prestigious awards such as the SSHRC Doctoral Fellowship, Constable Prize, and the Phyllis W.G. Gordan NEH Rome Prize. He has held residencies at the Warburg Institute, American Academy in Rome, and I Tatti.
- Key publications include the monograph Plato’s Persona: Marsilio Ficino, Renaissance Humanism, and Platonic Traditions (2018) and co-edited volumes on Ficino’s cosmology.
- Current projects involve critical editions of Ficino’s translations of Iamblichus and Theon of Smyrna, and a study of Pico della Mirandola’s De ente et uno.
