Denis Alikin is an Auxiliary Researcher at CICECO – Aveiro Institute of Materials, Department of Physics, University of Aveiro, Portugal. He has been affiliated with the university since 2017, progressing from postdoctoral researcher to research scientist before assuming his current position in 2024. His academic foundation includes a PhD in Condensed Matter Physics from Ural Federal University, Russia (2013).

Dr. Alikin investigates charge transport, polarization dynamics, and ferroionic coupling in ferroelectric, semiconductor, and ionic conductor materials. His methodology integrates advanced electrical characterization, scanning probe microscopy, and finite element modeling to analyze nanoscale mechanisms in functional oxides, with emphasis on domain kinetics, phase transitions, and microstructure-property relationships.
