Demetrice Worley is a Professor in the English Department at Bradley University's College of Liberal Arts & Sciences. She teaches both undergraduate and graduate courses in composition theory, African American literature, and creative writing, while maintaining an active research agenda focused on pedagogy and literary scholarship.
- Education: Dr. Worley holds a Doctorate in English from Illinois State University, a Master's degree in English from University of Illinois, Urbana, and a Bachelor's degree in English from Bradley University.
Her research interests center on the social construction of knowledge in educational settings, composition pedagogy, and African American literary traditions. She has published extensively in these areas and continues to develop new creative writing projects.
Recent scholarly output includes a 2011 poetry collection and several co-edited anthologies exploring Black women's experiences, depression in African American communities, and beauty standards. Her work often intersects with urban studies and social justice themes.
