Demelza Pilgrim is a Senior Lecturer in Accounting and Finance at the University of the West of England (UWE) Bristol. She holds a Combined Honours Degree in Biology and Business from Aston Business School and is a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) and Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (AFHEA). Prior to academia, she gained extensive experience in the commercial sector at GE Consumer Finance and NZME (New Zealand Media and Entertainment), as well as in the charity sector at Parkinson's UK, where she completed her CIMA qualification in 2014.
Research and Teaching Interests: Demelza specializes in applied accounting and finance education, with a focus on bridging academic knowledge and industry practice. Her work emphasizes professional training, informed by her background in delivering training programs in corporate and nonprofit sectors.
