Dr Delyth Edwards is a Lecturer in Inclusion, Childhood and Youth at the School of Education, University of Leeds (joined January 2022). Previously, she held positions at Liverpool Hope University (2016–2022) and the University of Leicester’s School of Museum Studies (2013–2016). Her research focuses on the Sociology of Care Experience, exploring intersections between childhood/youth studies, social policy, memory, and ethics. She is Programme Lead for the MA Childhood Studies and School Lead for Access and Success initiatives.

Research Interests: Examines care-experienced individuals' narratives, ethics in childhood studies, and socio-cultural policy. Her work bridges academia and activism through projects like the AHRC-funded 'Understanding Everyday Participation' and contributions to the Care Experience Conference. She advocates for HE institutions to become more caring spaces.
Teaching: Module leader for EDUC5861 (Theorizing Childhood), EDUC5862 (Research with Children), and EDUC5867 (Children’s Relationships). Supervises PhD students in child poverty, well-being, and family dynamics.
Labs/Initiatives: Engaged in projects documented at Blue Cabin and Everyday Participation. Co-hosted the podcast series 'Whose Story is it Anyway?' on creative life-story work.
