Midwestern Universityمعرفی
Del M Eckman is an Associate Professor in Biomedical Sciences at Midwestern University, holding appointments in both the College of Veterinary Medicine and the College of Graduate Studies in Arizona. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Nevada, Reno (1997) and a B.A. from the University of Arizona (1989). His research focuses on cardio/cerebrovascular complications in aging and neurodegenerative diseases, pregnancy-related uterine vascular dysfunction, and chemotherapy's cardiovascular effects.
Key research interests include Alzheimer's disease-related vascular changes, pregnancy-induced vascular adaptations, and APOE allele effects on vascular health. His work employs mouse models to study arterial mechanics, cerebrovascular function, and aging mechanisms. Over 100+ publications span conferences and journals, emphasizing experimental physiology and translational medicine.
Teaching responsibilities include graduate courses such as Research Literature Review, Thesis Research, and Laboratory Rotations. Active collaborations involve multidisciplinary teams studying vascular biology and reproductive physiology.
