Deiric Ó Broin is Professor of Public Policy Practice at the School of Law and Government, Dublin City University (DCU). He lectures on Irish politics and public policy, with a focus on local and urban governance, public participation, civil society engagement, and the social economy. Previously held academic positions at TU Dublin, Maynooth University, and UCD.

His research spans local/regional governance, deliberative democracy, and social/solidarity economies.
