Deidre Popovich is an Associate Professor of Marketing and Supply Chain Management at the Rawls College of Business, Texas Tech University. Her expertise lies in consumer behavior, decision-making, and healthcare marketing. She holds a PhD in Marketing from Emory University, an MBA from Vanderbilt University, an MA in Organizational Communication from Michigan State University, and a BA in Public Relations from Western Michigan University.
Her research focuses on consumer psychology, particularly how decision contexts and information cues influence health, well-being, and purchasing behavior. She has published in journals like Journal of Consumer Psychology, Journal of Retailing, and Medical Decision Making. She also serves on editorial review boards for Journal of Public Policy & Marketing and the Responsible Research in Business and Management (RRBM) program.
Her work explores topics such as the 'pain of paying,' health decision-making, and the impact of branding on consumer exclusion.
