Deidra Hodges is the ECE Department Chair and an Associate Professor at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Florida International University. She holds a dual B.S. in Physics and Electrical Engineering from Dillard University/Columbia University, M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Columbia University, and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of South Florida. Her research focuses on advancing photovoltaic technologies, sustainability, and radiation detection devices through interdisciplinary collaboration. She serves as an editor for Elsevier's Materials Science in Semiconducting Processing and is affiliated with Brookhaven National Laboratory as visiting faculty.
