Deepa Jayaram

Dr. Deepa Jayaram is an Assistant Professor of Medicine (Nephrology) at Yale School of Medicine. She completed her MBBS from Seth G.S. Medical College (1993), followed by residency training at Michael Reese Hospital/University of Illinois (2000) and University of Pennsylvania (1997). Her nephrology fellowship was at Harvard Medical School/Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (2002), with an additional transplant nephrology fellowship at the University of Michigan. Her clinical practice emphasizes empathy-focused care for chronic kidney disease (CKD), with a focus on prevention, glomerulonephritis, diabetic kidney disease, and post-acute kidney injury management. She has received multiple awards including the Best Docs Mumbai (OUTLOOK Magazine) and Top Doctor Mumbai (India Today Magazine). Her research examines kidney transplantation outcomes and CKD progression.
