Debra Weisberg is a part-time faculty member in Studio Art at Boston College, teaching courses like Design: Seeing is Believing. She holds a B.F.A. from Temple University Tyler School of Art. Her practice involves large-scale installations using materials such as tape, luminescent powders, fiberglass mesh, and hydrostone, exploring themes of energy and form. Notable works include a 40-foot-high installation (Sub) Surface at the DeCordova Museum, which won a Best Museum Installation Award. She has exhibited nationally at venues including Art in General (NYC), Rose Art Museum (Brandeis), and Mills Gallery (Boston). Awards include a 2008 Mass Cultural Council Fellowship and multiple Somerville Arts Lottery recognitions. Weisberg has also created commissions for public spaces like the Sonesta Hotel and private residences.
