Dr. Deborah Scolart is an Associate Professor of Muslim Law and Islamic Countries at the University of Naples l'Orientale, Department of Asia, Africa and the Mediterranean. She holds a PhD in Roman Legal System, Unification of Law and Integration Law (2001) and a Master's Degree in Trade, Banking, and Investment with Arab Countries (2002). Current affiliations include:
- Adjunct Teacher at Carabinieri School of Officer Cadets (2018–2024)
- Scientific Director of Istituto per l'Oriente CA Nallino's Publications Series (2013–)
- Member of European Master's Degree in "History and Comparison of Mediterranean Political Institutions" Scientific Committee
