Deborah Henderson

Dr. Deborah Henderson is an Adjunct Associate Professor in the School of Education at Queensland University of Technology (QUT). Her expertise lies in History and Civics and Citizenship Education, with a focus on pre-service teacher education and fostering historical thinking in students. She holds a PhD from Griffith University and has held roles such as Editor of Curriculum Perspectives and Vice-President of the Australian Curriculum Studies Association (ACSA).

Her research explores teacher professional learning, curriculum development, and international education initiatives, including the New Colombo Plan and outbound mobility programs. She has conducted research in countries like Malaysia, Hong Kong, China, and the Philippines, emphasizing cross-cultural understanding and Asia literacy.
