Debora Price is a Professor of Social Gerontology and Sociology at The University of Manchester. She holds a PhD from the University of Manchester (2005) and previously qualified as a barrister specializing in family law. Her research focuses on finance over the life course, including pensions, poverty in later life, financial services for aging populations, and household money management. She has led/co-investigated over 20 major research projects, including grants from UKRI, ESRC, and the Nuffield Foundation. Notable roles include Director of the Manchester Institute for Collaborative Research on Ageing (MICRA) (2016–2019) and President of the British Society of Gerontology (2016–2019). She is a Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences and serves on advisory boards like the Legal & General Longevity Science Panel and the Pensions Policy Institute.
