Debora Kaliski

Dr. Debora Kaliski is an Associate Professor at the School of Rehabilitation Sciences, University of the Incarnate Word (UIW), where she teaches foundational sciences and professional development courses. A native of San Antonio and first-generation doctoral graduate, she is deeply committed to mentorship and advancing diversity in STEM fields.

Her research spans neuroscience, respiratory physiology, redox biology, and mitochondrial dysfunction, with a strong emphasis on educational innovation. She has published on using narrated dissection videos and peer-mentoring to improve anatomy learning outcomes, particularly among underrepresented minority students in physical therapy education.
