Debnath Maji

Debnath Maji is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering at Louisiana State University's College of Engineering. His research focuses on developing innovative biomedical technologies including point-of-care diagnostic devices, microfluidic systems for blood analysis, and electroporation-based therapeutic delivery. He teaches BE2350: Experimental Methods for Engineers and directs the Emerging Diagnostics and Innovative Therapeutics (EDIT) Lab, which aims to create affordable healthcare solutions through engineering-biomedical integration.

Research interests include biosensor development, impedance-based diagnostics, hemostasis assessment, and electroporation optimization for gene therapy. His work targets early disease detection and accessible therapeutic platforms.
