Deb Bell-Pedersen is a University Distinguished Professor in the Department of Biological Sciences at Texas A&M University. She joined the department in 1997 and leads the Bell-Pedersen Lab, focusing on circadian rhythms and their molecular mechanisms in Neurospora crassa. Her research integrates molecular, biochemical, and genomic approaches to understand how circadian clocks regulate rhythmic gene expression and protein production, with implications for human health and aging.
